We're gonna do it again! This time better, hopefully.

Alright folks, I guess I’m going to do a late night stream til about 1am or so. If anyone is interested in watching me try to get the save file to where it was intended to be, and not what ended up happening; you can catch the stream…

I think I found the culprit folks.

Notice changes have been saved, right? So this is very much a bug on YouTube’s side of things and nothing I can do about it except keep forcing it to set and stay set.

Aggravating to say the least, considering how it affects things if you don’t know about it. Anyways, this is the last time I’ll be bringing it up, since now we know what it is. If I bring it up ever again, it’s to showcase the fact that it is fixed.

I’ll embed the video itself later, when I have confirmed that the bloody thing works. (seriously, multiple times in a row now. Only one of them was a moment where I went “Oh yeah, I forgot it this time.” Once. The rest… I have no idea what’s going on, but I hope it stops soon.)

Anyways.

The plan here is to the jank the hell out of the Chetxploit. The goal is to get Chet’s life savings, but keep Ringo alive, while getting rid of Joe Cobb. I know, tough one, right? Especially since the exploit itself requires Ringo to be dead, right?

Or… does it?

See, I remember getting it done exactly like that, to a T. Granted, memory isn’t always perfect, so if we can’t get it to work this time, or a 3rd run at the money, then we’ll just go with the jankiest save file we have created, and go forward from there.

This way, we can at least know for some level of assurance, that we did what we could before moving forward. I might do that more as well. Branch out the possible ways we could go through the game by keeping multiple save files via different choice paths by doing multiple entries like this.

It’s a bit of a chore, but I was thinking about it and figured "heck, this is basically how I play anyways." The only difference is that with this different method, we wouldn’t be save slushing so much as we would be treating the game like it has its own multi-verse of many possible branches and conclusions.

Technically, this first branch by that metric, is now dead. I died once to Ringo. There was an auto save of course, so one could argue that time loops for that person until they get it right and not die, which I did; so that’s a sub-path now.

Meanwhile, the main branch will have to be redone, which is what we are doing now.

I’ll be setting up the character the same, and if possible using the same original save file from now on to do this. If there are some auto-saves I can make use of instead, that would be great; but I kind of doubt it. I’ll have to check and see ultimately. We’ll find out which is the case when I get started recording.

Meanwhile, my TV’s slowly getting worse with the bright lights shining through. But it’s fine for now. I know how to fix it, I just have to take the time for taking it apart carefully, and fixing the LED’s inside. Might cost me 90$ for some fresh strips and ‘bulbs’. But that’s cheaper than buying a brand new TV…

NewEgg and Amazon have some options for payment plans now, with Amazon only doing it for certain items but the price stays the same; but NewEgg has a marked up price almost always compared to Amazon or others now. NewEgg also mostly only does monitors and projectors, which I am thinking of getting just for convenience in moving now. Projectors aren’t light, but they aren’t as big as TV’s. And monitors tend to be better for gaming anyways. Except in the case of the LG C1 or C2 I am looking at. One of which Amazon has a payment plan going for right now I think, but only at the higher sizes. Lowest size (which I want in this case cause its big enough) is just cheaper, but no payment plan.

So, that explains why it’s sort of cheaper to just fix this TV. It’s a UN55UH7250fxzc, and on game mode, it’s one of the best TV’s I’ve ever used for gaming, aside from maybe a Sony Trinitron CRT for retro stuff.

And yes, I have one. It’s sitting aside right now while I figure out the dimensions of the room and how best to rearrange things for the streaming setup in its full completion, while having enough room for my bed.

I should point out that if I were able to make about … 3k a month, I could easily excuse the cost of renting the whole unit I am in, for myself. Just make the 2nd smaller room the streaming room then. Hang a bunch of blankets on the walls and that will mostly sound proof it well enough. And when I don’t need them on the walls anymore due to having my own house or a better pad rented out; I will have a plethora of nice big comfy blankets.

Anyways. That’s all side details that don’t matter as much for the gameplay as I need to be sharing here. But it’s on my mind as I type all of this, so there it is.

Maybe I’ll make a video of me fixing the TV on my phone, to share with you all. I found out that my unit is not really on YouTube at all for needing repair.

I suspect that’s due to the fact it was one of the more top of the line models when I bought it, and so it generally isn’t as common.

So maybe this will be helpful to some people out there. If so, awesome.

But holy cow do I sure hope I don’t end up accidentally breaking it worse. That’s why I am putting it off. Cause then fixing the tv will be technically more expensive… cause it will need to be fully replaced. lol.
